Capabilities
Tegmul is geared to meet the growing demand for steel products for mines, petrochemical plants, power stations, transport infrastructure and water treatment plants. We fabricate to customer's specifications in mild steel, stainless steel and 3CR12. Our workshops operate to ISO9000 specifications and procedures are regularly audited.
Our manufacturing facility occupies more than 13 000 square metres, serviced by heavy lift overhead cranes. An additional 50 000 square metres of yard space is serviced by 25T and 20T mobile cranes and forklifts.
This means that we can accommodate all size vessels including structural steel, mining equipment, pressure vessels, storage tanks, silos and other commercial and industrial items. To complement our fabrication capabilities, we also handle refurbishment of steel structures.

Tegmul Engineering is current investing in a new workshop facility with an 18m lift height under the overhead crane which will allow the company to handle larger components under cover.
RUBBER LINING
We provide chemical cure and steam cure lining of the highest standards into the mining and chemical industry. Large quantities of different bore size pipes have been successfully lined for infrastructure and mining projects in central and southern Africa. Tegmul Engineering operates an autoclave for vulcanization of rubber lined pipes and vessels up to 2,2m diameter.
INDUSTRIAL PAINTING
We offer paint coatings, surface refurbishment, finishing and painting maintenance services for light and heavy industrial and mining equipment, pipes and vessels.
GRIT BLASTING
Sandblasting removes rust, scale, coatings and contamination in preparation for painting or the application of specialised coatings or linings. We have the ability to perform large Grit blasting and industrial painting jobs on sites.
FABRICATION
Our Guillotines can handle plate up to 3 meters wide, and our hydraulic press brakes can bend 16mm plate up to 3 meters.
- Lathes: up to 3000mm between centers with swings up to 1050mm
- Eccentric press: 100 ton capacity
- Punching and Cropping: Up to 16mm
- CNC Controlled Profile cutting: 12m x 3m Plasma or flame cutting
- Welding: Mig, Tig and MMA welding to specification (Coded Welders)
- Pedestal/Radial Drills: up to 70mm diameter.
